🌿 Nature in Action: Field Trip Opportunity
Students enrolled in one of the Nature in Action Natural Sciences courses will have the opportunity to participate in a two-day, hands-on field experience based in Saratoga Springs, NY. This immersive weekend trip—scheduled for either September 2025 or May 2026, depending on term—uses SUNY Empire’s 113 West Avenue location as a home base, with fieldwork at nearby natural areas such as Saratoga Spa State Park and Moreau Lake State Park.
This unique experience allows students to apply classroom concepts in real-world settings, observing ecosystems, collecting data, and exploring local biodiversity. There is no course fee, though students are responsible for their own travel, meals, and lodging.
